LOGANAIR operates flights seven days a week to Stornoway from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness.

FROM OUTSIDE SCOTLAND

Connecting flights are available from London to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Inverness, and from other cities around the UK and Europe.

 

BY SEA

 

There are three ports of entry to take you to the Isle of Harris with ferries travelling seven days a week:

 

  • Uig, Isle of Skye to Tarbert, Isle of Harris

  • Ullapool on the north-west coast mainland to Stornoway, Isle of Lewis

  • Berneray, in the Sound of Harris to Leverburgh, Isle of Harris

 

You can take your car on board the ferry, operated by Caledonian MacBrayne, or leave it at one of the ferry departure points and travel as a foot passenger.

 

You need to book in advance if travelling by car.

 

BY BUS

 

Scottish Citylink operates regular bus services to Uig in Skye and Ullapool north-west mainland, connecting with ferry arrival and departure times.

 

BY TRAIN

You can travel by rail to Mallaig or Kyle of Lochalsh, both on the north-west mainland, then journey by bus through the Isle of Skye to the ferry crossing from Uig.

To get to Ullapool, take the train as far as Inverness, and then go by coach to Ullapool.

BUSES WITHIN LEWIS & HARRIS

 

Note: On the main routes, buses operate Monday to Saturdays. Some minor routes operate Mondays to Fridays.

GETTING TO TOBSON / RIVERSIDE

  • Enter HS3 3BA, Lingerbay, Isle of Harris into SatNav

  • Follow the A859 to Tarbert / Leverburgh

  • Carry on through Leverburgh towards Rodel

  • After Rodel Chapel (right hand side)

  • Follow the road for 3 miles to Lingerbay

  • First right and the property will be at the very end of the road.
